Turn it up a little up louder...

At first I was thinking "Nah, there isn't gonna be any vocals for this", but as the song goes along, it finally shows up. This is a really impressive song, and yet you guys can do so much more with it. I really like all the guitar work and all that, sounds a wee bit mesmerizing to me. What you guys needed improving on is the sound; it needs to get turned up some more. It sounds a little hard, if not turned up all the way, to hear the song. Also, try to find a better mic.

A pretty good song, yet so much can be done.

TheViolentVendetta responds:

Cheers buddy. I'm using Audacity atm, which isn't brilliant, and my tech skills aren't exactly professional either :L
As for the mic, yeah I'm aware that it's shocking, you got any recommendations?

When you say much to be done, in turns of song or recording?

Epic Pilgrimage I dare say...

This tune does remind me a little bit of Pirates of the Carribean in some way. This would fit fine in some high adventure type stuff or maybe even in an epic battle. The only trouble I see is how the drums can be tuned up a bit, especially in the beginning. But everything goes in together well.

Great job. Keep it up.

LightKeeper responds:

Thanks a lot. I made this song back when my theory wasn't as strong. The synthesized guitars were ultimately a test as well and not something I would plan to add again any time soon to a mix. I'm surprised I haven't gotten any comments on how terrible the mix is to this piece honestly, because it is definitely clippy and in some parts uncomprehendable. The composition is average at best and I feel that if I were to put my hand at this type of song again it would definitely overshadow this.

However, thank you for the review and kind words. If you really want epic adventure esque music I would recommend listening to Lashmush's Ultima Eternus, as it is what gave me the inspiration to write this piece in the first place. After listening to that you may look back and reconsider the score you gave me, as this is way underpar in comparison to his incredible expansion of pieces.

Pretty decent cover.

Somehow, I think I heard of this song (what's the name of the original band?). It sounds very clear, uplifting, and pretty. The only thing that bothers me is the electronic voice. Your voice would sound so much better without it, since you are hitting those notes pretty well. But other than that, it sounds really great!

Keep it up! You sound great!

DigitalTrance responds:

lol thanks, for some reason people tend to not like that

Sounds pretty neat.

I like this one cause it sounds like it's from those movies where the main characters are out checking out the area, or maybe just walking around. The sounds are very interesting too. However, the beat does sound a little tipsy (to me at least) and the duration of the song. But hey, it does sound pretty cool!

So I hope I get to hear this from a flash someday!

Firefreezer responds:

I hope so too, thank you very much for this review!

Very intresting.

This has a very interesting feel to it. It sounds something you would hear from the starting credits of a very epic/dramatice movie. I never really see a whole lot of these kinds of songs here on this website. This song really impresses me.

By the way, what is the voice saying?
You've earned my 5's & 10's. :D

Jessismith responds:

Thank you so much for the 5's and 10's. :) I'm glad to hear you say that. I was definitely going for the epic movie trailer sound(my favorite style) Thank you.

It's actually written in my own elf language, and it speaks of grace. Grace that spared the travelers from the dry harshness of the desert.

Funny :D

Although very short, this made me smile a little bit. When I first saw this song on the Audio Listing, I wasn't really expecting this. You kinda did screw up on the pitch at the end, but overall, it is good.

Keep it up!

Screch responds:

Why thank you kind sir. And yes, I messed up on the arpeggio but hey, I'm not singer. And uh, you should check out my other audio and review it cuz I like you :3

It's ok...

A pretty good depressed song. That's some fine guitar playing you have there (better than me), even though you had a little screw up somewhere in the song. I'm not totally crazy about lyrics, but it should be made a little longer. If it's possible, make the lyrics longer and change the variety of them (that way you don't have to keep singing the same chorus over and over again). Overall this is a nice piece, and I am expecting for the professional version to come out.

Any idea when the CD is coming out?

Stereocrisis responds:

I have actually just laid out the first draft in the studio, they are going to add drums and bass, and I added some other parts, it's going to sound awesome.

Awesome heavy metal song

This is one of the best songs I have heard so far in the Heavy Metal page here. Very nice slow build-up, a "JESUS CHRIST!!!" guitar solo, and a perfect ending. Although just a thought, it would be nice to add lyrics to the song. And the build-up could be a little shorter too. Overall, this has an impressive Heavy Metal-feel to it.

P.S. Way to show off those 0-bombers on your "Author's comments". :3

SlaveLabor responds:

No, Lyrics do not work with this song. I've tried.

And thanks for the Awshum Review

Cheers,

Very good style.

This sounds a lot better than your other work. It has a dark style in it, with some very awesome rock in it. And it's extra louder than the others! The thing is though no one actualy knows what in the world your singer is singing about. And like everyone else said, use a multitrack recorder. It would sound much cooler.

Keep it up! I would to see something amazing from you guys! :D

WeAreRiot responds:

actually, i don't know if she knows what she's singing about...XD

Not bad.

This sounds as if you have the adventure of a lifetime every time you fallen asleep. The sound of this also kinda reminds me of a Kirby game I onced played.

You've got talent, I'll tell ya that.
