Very funny and good job.

It's been quite a long time since I had listen to you guys. And this song...well it's something new. And it's always cool when you try something new.
I really enjoy this song. Besides all the humorous lyrics, the beats were simple and smooth, though it tends to get a little repetitive. I also enjoyed the auto-tuned vocals for the chorus (BTW was that choir vocals I hear in the background of the chorus?).

Different from your older stuff, but still rocks!

Not bad for 5-year old

Very simple, some-what of a neat variety of patterns with the instruments, and very nice riffs (especially in the end. The only thing about this is, even though this is a loop, you got to at least connect the ending with the beginning. That way, the song can just be one continuous flow, being played over and over again. Other than that, it's an enjoyable song to play, makes me feel good.
BTW: What music program did you use to make this?

Good job. Keep it up! :D

Turn it up a little up louder...

At first I was thinking "Nah, there isn't gonna be any vocals for this", but as the song goes along, it finally shows up. This is a really impressive song, and yet you guys can do so much more with it. I really like all the guitar work and all that, sounds a wee bit mesmerizing to me. What you guys needed improving on is the sound; it needs to get turned up some more. It sounds a little hard, if not turned up all the way, to hear the song. Also, try to find a better mic.

A pretty good song, yet so much can be done.

Cheers buddy. I'm using Audacity atm, which isn't brilliant, and my tech skills aren't exactly professional either :L
As for the mic, yeah I'm aware that it's shocking, you got any recommendations?

When you say much to be done, in turns of song or recording?

Epic Pilgrimage I dare say...

This tune does remind me a little bit of Pirates of the Carribean in some way. This would fit fine in some high adventure type stuff or maybe even in an epic battle. The only trouble I see is how the drums can be tuned up a bit, especially in the beginning. But everything goes in together well.

Great job. Keep it up.

LightKeeper responds:

Thanks a lot. I made this song back when my theory wasn't as strong. The synthesized guitars were ultimately a test as well and not something I would plan to add again any time soon to a mix. I'm surprised I haven't gotten any comments on how terrible the mix is to this piece honestly, because it is definitely clippy and in some parts uncomprehendable. The composition is average at best and I feel that if I were to put my hand at this type of song again it would definitely overshadow this.

However, thank you for the review and kind words. If you really want epic adventure esque music I would recommend listening to Lashmush's Ultima Eternus, as it is what gave me the inspiration to write this piece in the first place. After listening to that you may look back and reconsider the score you gave me, as this is way underpar in comparison to his incredible expansion of pieces.

Impressive...

I really enjoy how it sounds so far. The whole synth-house feel to it. The beginning can be cut down a little bit. Also, be sure that you can satisfy everyone and make the whole song even more impressive, otherwise they'll favor more of the demo than the full one.

Interesting song overall.

Sounds similarly like your previous song...

Agreeing with Haggard's review, the variation is a bit lacking here. It sounds kinda like your first song you posted here. Then again, it is in a "Video Game" genre, so I can picture this in some kind of desert wasteland or construction-like battle game/movie. Something like that I suppose. I also like the interesting synth part hitting all those crazy notes somewhere in the song there.

Overall, it's a decent song, but needs variation.

Not bad for your first time.

You really do a good job of making it a 8-bit style video game song, and I can imagine this being in some pretty cool game here on Newgrounds. The only thing I think needs improvement is the leading synth. Try tuning it down a little bit more and also try a different sound and/or pattern that way it won't sound quite the same.

Otherwise, this song is pretty cool. Good job.

I agree with the other two :D

I too believe this sounds a bit like QotSA, it has that unique sound to it and neat instrument playing. The recording sounds great, very nice vocal work n' guitar playing. What's more to say?

Very cool song. Love to hear more by you guys.
You've earned my 5's n' 10's

Pretty decent cover.

Somehow, I think I heard of this song (what's the name of the original band?). It sounds very clear, uplifting, and pretty. The only thing that bothers me is the electronic voice. Your voice would sound so much better without it, since you are hitting those notes pretty well. But other than that, it sounds really great!

Keep it up! You sound great!

DigitalTrance responds:

lol thanks, for some reason people tend to not like that

Sounds pretty neat.

I like this one cause it sounds like it's from those movies where the main characters are out checking out the area, or maybe just walking around. The sounds are very interesting too. However, the beat does sound a little tipsy (to me at least) and the duration of the song. But hey, it does sound pretty cool!

So I hope I get to hear this from a flash someday!

I hope so too, thank you very much for this review!
