PART 2 OF SHORT STORY
She woke up, tired as usual from the internet chat that lasted until midnight. It was a Saturday, a day of relief for every school teenager. She got out of bed and turned off the irritating alarm clock.
When she got to the bathroom and raised her fat-less arm toward the knob, she heard her little brother shouted out, "Don't come in here! I'm taking a dump!"
"Aw, come on!" said the girl, "Every single morning you take the bathroom and waste the whole entire time sitting in the toilet seat talking to yourself!" As you probably guessed, she didn't really like her brother.
"Yeah, well at least I don't stand there looking at the mirror putting make-up on and singing those girlie songs," snapped back her brother.
"Just shut up and finish up doing whatever you're doing in there, Cooper," said the girl, walking back to her room. She couldn't wait for the other "under construction" bathroom to be finished.
She looked at herself at the oval mirror on top of the shelf. Her soft, white face looked normal; with the makeup on she looked like an angel. Her small nose became cute and lovable, more like a teddy bear's nose. Her eyes were striking, yet you can tell she's more of a caring type. And her hair, yet oily from not washing it yesterday morning, was long, curly, and sun-colored.
She looked at the pictures taped along the sides of the mirror; her reflections of times gone is what she called them. Some were taken with her friends at local parties, some with families, and the rest were just herself.
Last night when she was online chatting with her friend, Carrie-Ann, she said that the she had the time of her life with her boyfriend. He took her to the movies, ate at Friendly's, and even drove her back home (with his parents). And when they came to Carrie's house, he kissed her in the lips right there in front of his parents. She said it was magical. But then the girl said nothing and skipped the conversation. She asked why and if you're feeling jealous at the moment because the girl lost her boyfriend a month ago.
She wanted to forget about those times she spent with the man she once loved. She wanted to forget the cruel, harmful words he spoken right out of his mouth. She wanted to forget the whole thing. But the memory haunted her, everyday and night.
And she vowed she'll never go out with another guy again. Never until she's out of school for good. Just so she won't suffer those moments again.
Reader, do you wish to know this person's name? It'll be quite surprising to you.
Her name is this: Susan Loretta Brown. And she really wants a boyfriend that'll treat her right.
