Short story Part 1.

Posted by ChineseBoar1995 - December 9th, 2008

THIS IS MY PARTS OF MY SHORT STORY THAT'S DUE DECEMBER 10TH. I JUST FINISHED THIS AT 10:12PM. I WANT YOU NEWGROUNDERS TO RATE THIS AND SEE IF IT'S GOOD. THIS IS PART 1 OF THE STORY.

Poem

He sits there on the seat. At lunch time. Alone as usual. He finished munching on the daily diminutive-tasting food. He couldn't do much but sit there; head down, thinking of things.
Dimitri Maximillion (mostly Max; he says it's less redundant) was a loner. Like many of the others, including nerds, hideous humans, and the Silenced; they were just like him. He wasn't a nerd for he didn't hang around computers for the rest of his thirteen years and his glasses don't look like theirs. He wasn't hideous either; if it wasn't for his greasy, ear-length hair. He would've looked like a fruitcake.
He was, like the Silenced, the opposite of being loquacious. He was reticent. Never spoke much, with the exceptions talking to his parents and answering the question the teacher may ask. If you say hello to him, he would say...nothing. Sometimes you may hear a small voice that is saying "hi" right back at you, but your mind wanders off into something else, thus ignoring him.
Like I said, he was a loner, nothing more or less. But Reader, there are always a bright side in the darkness of the night. If you gave a list of his top favorite things, it would have been something like this:
1. He loved school. As he said, it's the only place where he can act normal.
2. His only three friends: Jimmy Miles (a nerdish who always had a computer in his hand), Carl "Whitey" White (an Albino), and Black Cemetery (one of the Silenced. And yes, that's his actual name.).
3. Cats. Always wishes he had lots.
4. Poetry. He writes it like an adept writer.
5. Music. Since he writes poetry, he always thought of an idea to make it into a song.
And then finally...
6. Susan Loretta Brown.
She is the most beautiful girl in the whole wide world that he knows of. Her eyes are pearls, bright and sparkling. She's got a smile that can melt the coldest of hearts. And her voice...well there's a lot to say about her voice, but let's just say it sounded simply beautiful.
Max wanted to walk up to her, talk to her, and ask her this one suspenseful question: Will she go out with him? He always wanted to do that. To walk up to the person he adored ever since the fourth grade. He's been dreaming of that one day he'll get the chance.
The thing is he never had the courage to go and ask her. The consuming of his dangerous foe, the Pusillanimous Force, defeats him whenever he wants to say something to her.
"What do his friends say," you may ask. Of course Max would tell his most-closest friends in the world. His friends would say something like...
Jimmy: Don't bother. It's just a waste of your time. She may not like you. (He never had a girlfriend before anyway)
Carl: Don't worry. You'll get her somehow. Unless she says no. (He also doesn't had a girlfriend either. Well maybe one, but for a short while)
Black: ... (He doesn't say anything, but he dated a lot of girls)
He still hopes for a chance that he will have her. Someday.
And he wrote a poem.
